Coup de pression (comme disent les jeunes)

Dear Mael,

Just checking to inquire why you did not submit your final essay.

Because of this I have no recourse but to give your final grade minus the biggest aspect of it-- which means a grade that does not pass the course.

Can you clarify why you did not submit the essay?

Re: Can you clarify why you did not submit the essay?

Dear Lorraine,

As Singaporians might say "can not"

...but I am pretty sure you can!

Sorry to be so straightforward that but this can't be anything but a mistake from your side. I've sent my essay on time and as you may have noticed, coming from a French student, that's a real challenge. You've even sent me an email confirming that you have well received it. Whether you need further proof of that, I must have everything archived somewhere in my mailbox.

I don't care about the grade as I have already validated more courses than necessary to graduate but I'd really like to get your feedback on my paper. In fact I have spent few days on it and sincerely I don't really know if it was worthwhile sacrificing some of the precious holydays before a while. Anyway, even though I can't say that I have enjoyed being locked up in the national library to write this report, I have certainly learned few things out of the process and that's probably what matters most.

Please double-check and let me know as soon as possible,

I have limited access to the Internet but I am still working in Singapore, so you can easily reach me on my mobile phone (90989376) if you need to clarify some points.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you very soon,

Regards,

Maël (remember: like meal but you have to switch the e and the a :)

Ps: Even though I am convinced that it wasn't the initial purpose of your message, I am having a lot of fun right now writing this reply and after a long day of work it's priceless. So I'd like to thank you (for that and for the fact that it felt like you poured your heart into your course.)
